MASTERPEACE ANNOUNCES NEW “BLACK FUTURE/HISTORY MONTH” YEAR-LONG COMMITMENT

“Black Future/History Month is a focused commitment to highlighting Black stories, creatives, and artists. Inspired by 'Black Future Month' from world-famous artist Ye, this initiative serves as a way to uplift ourselves and our work, rather than being constantly reminded each year of past injustices and slavery. We are more than the descendants of slaves.

What makes this commitment unique is my decision to honor our past and history by being intentional about highlighting our future and our stories. This is how I believe we properly honor the past. And this isn't just a one-month commitment - it stands as one of the founding principles and philosophies of what I do.

With this commitment, I am looking forward to connecting with and sharing the stories of other black creatives who are near and dear to my heart, and why they mean so much to me and the culture at large. I also look forward to sharing some resources, information, and pages to follow from prominent black figures in the creative space, and hopefully introduce you to some of my favorites in the meantime.

This is not just a month-long commitment, but rather a year-round lifestyle I will be sharing through my platform MASTERPEACE. I invite you to join me on this journey. Follow along at WWW.MASTRPC.XYZ and @lifewithikey on Instagram to be part of this ongoing celebration of Black creativity and future-forward thinking.“

Peace,

IKEY | Founder/Creative Director, MASTERPEACE
