Virgil Abloh Passing and Words of Encouragement

Hey team,

I apologize for the late email, but I couldn’t go to sleep without sending this so here we are.

So a lot of you guys have probably seen the news of Virgil Abloh’s passing, and I don’t know how you all are handling it but it’s rocked me to my core. He was my inspiration for everything, especially when it came to me deciding to be a creative director. He was my first real introduction to fashion and helped fuel my passion for sneakers.

When it comes to this project, I tried to embody Virgil’s spirit with every assignment we had, “fake it til you make it” in a sense. Quite frankly, I’m confident in saying that without Virgil, there would be no “Duality” Reebok sneaker, and I would not know any of you.

Virgil Abloh left an undeniable impact on the world of streetwear, sneakers, music, and luxury fashion. He was inspiration for millions around the world, and helped pave the way for opportunities like this to even exist in the first place. Let’s continue his legacy by going all out with this project in every single facet.
